So I just completed the Dukes quest and I am at the front door of Candlekeep with just myself and Dynaheir. My PC is a Fighter/Cleric lv6/7 and Dynaheir is around the same level.
I remember reading/hearing a while back that as soon as you enter Candlekeep you cannot go back. I'm not ready for this game to end, yet.
Am I ready to start TotSC?
I haven't had any quests/journal entries that said I need to visit Firewine Bridge but it's on my map. Should I go there (& Durlags Tower?) Is there anything in the game that sends me there?
Thanks in advance!
How do I 'start' TotSC?
There is no definable start point. Unlike most other expansion packs, it just adds new areas, quests and content to BG1...it's pretty seamless as well.
I won't spoil it for you but there are a few new areas where this content is focused. If you want, you can check the Game Banshee 'walkthru' section and it will tell you specifically what's what.
TIP: do everything you possibly can BEFORE confronting Sarevok at the temple. After you defeat him, you are done.

No, don't misunderstand me. There is no plot trigger to the expansion content, not from the main quest line anyways.keeB wrote:If it's upcoming then awesome. I just don't want to miss anything substantial like TotSC.
Sounds like I am not in danger of doing that yet.
You control when you access it by visiting these 'added' areas. You can visit them anytime, once you've discovered their whereabouts.

Hey, go as far North as you can to the small hamlet of Ulgoth's Beard because something bad is happening. But finish up any other areaskeeB wrote:That's really unfortunate. I had hoped there would be someone who says 'hey, go to these areas because something bad is happening.' It doesn't have to be connected to The Iron Throne to be interesting.
I am just now experiencing Candlekeep again. Fun fun.

In BG terms I'm a CN elf ranger (archer if you're on Tutu) with *****longbow/**longsword and decked out in elven chain and pretty much all the other elf-, archer- or ranger-specific gear available.
