Ok so I'm doing the permanent retirement quest for the DB and since I'm weak I'm going with the rose of sithis approach. So he goes for his swim and I stay out of sight and nail him, even though the eye never lights up I still get a bounty. I've tried 6 times to no avail. Any suggestions?

I tried the same thing as uffda, I dropped them in an out of the way corner and they disappeared after I talked to Barius. I think the game removes them from where ever they are when you talk to Barius.

If your stealing in Bruma, then if your going into the house of the guy with a basement (Baelin or something like that) nothing in his house is considered stealing (I have no idea why), his next door neighbor (L something) has some great stuff especially on the second floor in the empty bed room

I haven't finished the TG but the "your actions have been observed by forces" (or something to that effect) means the DB has seen you and next time you sleep you'll be visited with an invitation.

Sorry maybe I should have been more clear, I'm wondering why there are multiple items of the same name in the database on this site? Is it just part of the leveled reward system?

Does this mean that a quest reward I get at a lower level becomes effectively useless after I've gone up a few levels?

I was looking at the rewards for the various DB quests and for many of the items there are multiple items with identical stats other then the enchantments. Whats the deal with those?

I play legit, but I think you're being a little unfair in many of those cases the person is "cheating" because of a glitch that is making a quest impossible. I don't consider it cheating if your doing it to get around a glitch and I wouldn't hesitate to do so if I was in a situation like that.

I was able to get through just sneaking (with a sneak skill of 47 or so) using the shrouded armor and black band. Thanks, I tried at midnight and there was a guard there so I thought it was part of the challenge of the quest. I tried again at 11PM and no guard, no problem.
