Yep, that's wat happened. Hi I recently got a new computer, and in trying to install BG on it, well, it dosn't work. I can't install BG I. BG II works fine, Icewind Dale works fine, but for some reason, BG I won't install. It's okay. I'm thinking what might have happened was that I had a full inventory, and so dropped it. Then I slept a bunch of times as I tried to find Malavon and stuff. So the thing went away.

Ok, it didn't work. I tried pickpocketing him, he didn't have it. I killed him, he didn't have it. So I just went around Lower Dorn's Deep killing all the gnomes. Gnomes are funny.

All my save games are after I beat the temple, so I'd have to do the whole game over again. Not something I want to do right now. I'll try to pickpocket him, if that dosn't work he'll turn hostile anyway. I'll try it right now.

Ok, I got Malavon's and put it into the slot. I talked to the guy after killing everything. The dude near the throne. He tells me his story, and offer's healing, but won't give me the badge.
Should I try to pickpocket him to get it, or kill him?
I don't know what to do.
