Can't install

Hi I recently got a new computer, and in trying to install BG on it, well, it dosn't work. I can't install BG I. BG II works fine, Icewind Dale works fine, but for some reason, BG I won't install. The installation starts up, but halfway through, it shuts itself down. It's not the CD, because I tried it with a freind's CD and it still didn't work.

Anyone else experience something like this?

Have you got the 5 CD version? Or a different version? I have the five CD version, and my CD 3 failed utterly. I found making a copy of the CD (legal under Australian law, as long as you don't distribute it) and using the backup CD fixed the problem.

I know you say it's not the CD that is the problem, but that's all I can think of at the moment. Let me get back to you.

@LP: I never encountered a problem like yours before. Still, you might find an answer at the Bioware website..

Ya. I've got the 5CD version. I'll try making a copy of the CD's.

I've already checked the Bioware website, and e-mailed them, but no answers are found.
