The Prince of Madness
Quest Information
Starting Location: New Sheoth Palace
Starting NPC: Haskill
Possible Reward(s): Your own kingdom!

Did we miss anything during this quest? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

Welcome to your new role as the Prince of Madness! Feel free to grab Sheogorath's Regalia and the Sword of Jyggalag from the throne and then consult with Haskill to learn exactly what benefits you're now entitled to.

Should you want some company during any future adventures, you can now enlist the Golden Saint and Dark Seducer as companions. Additionally, you now have access to a fee-free Court Healer and two new spells called Manipulate Weather and Sheogorath's Protection. The first will do exactly what you'd think it would - it manipulates the weather across the Shivering Isles. Each of the five possible weather effects bestows a buff on your character, so it's worth using from time to time. The second allows you to cheat death. If it's active when a normally lethal blow lands on your character, you will be teleported to the palace safe and sound. Simply speak with Haskill again and he'll return you to the same spot where you would have normally died.

Other options are also available to you, such as the ability to defend your new realm. When you inquire about the topic to Haskill, he'll offer you a series of small quests that either involve creatures overrunning your hamlets or intruders assaulting the Gates of Madness. If you'd rather not deal with such trivial matters, you can instead send a detachment of guards to take care of the problem for you. This will net you 500 gold upon their return.

But what will keep you occupied while your soldiers do their work? A dancer, of course. If you issue a request for entertainment, a dancer will approach your throne and do a little jig for 30 seconds at a time. Once you grow tired of that routine, you can always pay a visit to the Sacellum Arden-Sul to pick up a buff by stepping into the previously lit flame. It's good to be Prince.
