In order to continue securing more forces for the Defense of Bruma, you may want to lend your hand to the city of Leyawiin as well. Count Marius Caro explains that he cannot send any of his men while an Oblivion gate rests outside his fair city, so it looks like you'll be closing another one in order to secure his aid.

The gate in question lies directly to the east of Leyawiin, where you'll come across a fallen city guard and paint horse from previous battles with the daedra. Wipe out any resistance you meet, then plunge into the wastes beyond the portal. A massive sea of lava keeps you from reaching the central citadel, so you'll have to first enter the Nether Tunnels to your west. On the lowest floor of the Nether Tunnels, you'll find another door leading into your first Oblivion Cave (Molten Halls).

This first cave is fairly straightforward. Slaughter the daedra that guard its halls as you move toward the exit in the southeast corner. The exit leads you into a second Oblivion Cave (The Scratch Paths), where you'll find more daedra guarding the halls leading to another exit door in the tunnel to the far south. This particular door will return you to the wastes of Oblivion, though now you'll find that you've traversed the sea of lava and can now gain access to the nearby Spindle Shrine tower.

Ascend to the top of the tower and make your way through the exit door. This will lead you across a bridge into the Blood Well tower, where you can open the gates outside using the lever on its top floor. Drop down a couple of floors and use the alternate exit to reach the now-open pathway leading up to the Tower Portal. From inside here, it's just a matter of bouncing between the Rending Halls, the Claw Monolith, Dead Halls, and Sigillum Sanguis as you advance to the top of the tower and pluck the Sigil Stone from its resting point.

With the gate closed, return to Count Marius to report the good news. Now that his city is no longer directly threatened, he agrees to send a few of his soldiers to Bruma. If you feel that you've secured enough forces for the Defense of Bruma at this point, you may want to give it a whirl. You can always load a save game and secure additional forces if you don't feel that you have adequate help once the battle begins.
