Blunt Training
Quest Information
Starting Location: Anvil Fighters Guild or Brina Cross Inn
Starting NPC: Azzan or Christophe Marane
Possible Reward(s): Blunt Master Training

Did we miss anything during this quest? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

When your Blunt skill is less than 40, you can receive training from the following NPCs:
  • Vigdis (Anvil Fighters Guild)
  • Bugak gro-Bol (Leyawiin)
When your Blunt skill is between 40 and 70, you must seek further training from the following NPCs:
  • Azzan (Anvil Fighters Guild)
  • Christophe Marane (Brina Cross Inn)
Once you've learned everything you can from the second tier trainers, speak with either of them about "Training" to learn that a master trainer exists that can teach you the most advanced techniques the skill has to offer. Tales of a woman named Irene Metrick tell of her using a blunt weapon "in horrible ways" and, if she's not in prison, you just might be able to find her somewhere in the Imperial City and convince her to teach you what she knows.

Use your compass to find Irene Metrick's house on the western side of the Imperial City Elven Gardens district. Head inside during the day and ask her about training to learn that she's killed a lot of people in her life. Unfortunately, she won't train you in Blunt until you're both "equals", meaning that you have to slay as many people as she has. To kill so many people (50+), you might want to sign up for the Arena if you haven't already. There are over twenty battles there alone that you can add to your list. Making your way through the Dark Brotherhood is also a good way to rack up some kills.

When you've slain an acceptable number of people, Metrick agrees to show you what she knows. Once you've utilized her teachings and have maxed out your Blunt skill, you might want to consider adding her to your death list too. No sense in having competition, right?
