Games In 2005-2006: Jeremy Soule

Gamecloud continues their Q&A series about the games of 2005 and 2006, this time quizzing RPG music composer Jeremy Soule. A snip:
Q: Other than games you worked on that were released this year, what video or PC game released in 2005 was your favorite and why?

A: I'm biased and I'll admit that I worked on this game, but what we did with it was so cool that I have to mention it... Guild Wars was the first game to feature technology that allowed for musical expansion packs. Every composer I know has wished at some point or another there was a way to keep music fresh in games. DirectSong really proved that people do want to have the option of bringing more official music into their play experience. Since Guild Wars, several major publishers have signed up for our service and we see a big year ahead for our new company.
