Ming must die-red doors

Post by Olga »

How am I supposed to open that damn red doors in the room with a waterwheel? I should move the wooden bar, I know, but how?! When I come closer, some yellow icon appears, and I guess that's when I'm supposed to pres E. But nothing happens. Please help!

If I recall correctly, you have to drag the wooden bar. Similar to how you can drag around chairs and other objects.

Exactly, but be aware that for some people the bar will not move nevertheless. Saving and reloading in that room is supposed to help, otherwise install the unofficial patch and restart from a saved game outside the temple or just use the console to "noclip" through it.

Just a brief note, and I'm not sure if this is a source of confusion at all, but when I hear "Save and Reload", that spells F9/F12 to me. That has never worked. However, if you do a proper save, exit the game, start the game, and reload the save, that seems to work every time. Just an FYI.
