PC specs needed to run Oblivion at the same performance level as 360

Post by sbmohr75 »

I would like to know the minimum configuration and GPU to run Oblivion on the
PC with the same performance, if not better, than the 360.

If you're wanting exactly that, performance, then all you need to do is tone down the graphics and you can get some nice performance just with the minimum to play oblivion.

BUT, if you're wanting more or less the graphics, quality, and stability of what's on the 360, I would say an Nvidia GeForce 6800 or 7200 with 1 gig of ram and at least an AMD Athlon 3400 would do the trick.

It goes you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, Popo's stool, Kami, then Popo.

To be safe, make sure your system specs in exactly or above the recommended system requirements to get a good playing experience. I highly suggest browsing the hardware performance guides found in quite a number of gaming and tech websites to get a better picture (such as this one from Gamespot).
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price
