Post by Darth Odyseus »

I know this is a little off topic but im just curious if anyone has a link to the VTM card game? ( I heard these games were based off an earlier board game??) Im not too sure but im intrigued and if anyone could provide a link that would be great. I'd really appreciate a link.

I'm wondering if the card game will be undergo the same sort of revision that the World of Darkness, proper has undergone (in light of VtR). The Vampire: the Eternal Struggle universe is, after all, the old VtM world.

Vampire: The Eternal Struggle (Once called Jyhad till it became a little less then PC to walk around saying you were playing a quick round of "Jyhad") is easily one of the best and most invovled and interesting card games I've played, on par with L5R. Most card games bore me to tears with their: "Buy more cards to win!" ideals and nerdy "casting fireball" attitude... But V:TES is VERY different.

The shortest game I've ever played of it lasted a good hour and a half. You can beat your enemy in many different ways from bleeding them dry, to just out influencing them, to dwindling their progress down to a grinding halt or even political actions. It employs weapons, discplines, locations, people, vampires, events, votes, reactions, masters and diplomacy.

That being said, I don't think they sell it much any more.

There was, on the white wolf site ( http://www.white-wolf.com ) a sale of cards in pre-made decks a while back... Myself and a friend mannaged to pick up a few clan decks and relived the old joy of 5 people back stabbing each other over the ownership of a news paper outlet and the princes favour... But I think they might still be selling Sabbat decks and Gehenna decks... However as with most card games, the addons usual detract a little something from the original.

Check out the online store area, they might still have a few old decks in stock... Else I SPOSE you can settle for Lasomba or something. *wink*
I was Diablorised once. I got better.
