**spoilers** Ming Door Help?
Allrighty ...
So I'm in Ming's currently, and I've had my fill of playing duck-duck-ouch with the swirly-blades of doom .... So I take a peek at the walkthrough and attempt to find the secret door to which it refers so I can turn the things off. Still cannot find the door though ... Searched on the forum, but couldn't find a reference ...
So, anyone know where exactly the dratted thing is?

ok... i AM at ming's door...
ok... i got throught the whole game... alive... right up to the bit where you go in to the temple then jump down in to the water wheel area, with the door to ming..... you know the big red double doors, with the really substantial bar across it...... ok... that bar will not move, no matter what i do, i tried pushing pulling, hitting, shooting, picking the lock, but to no avail, it is totaly not gonna move.... and to confound it all the more, i can't get out of the area to see if i missed any thing.... ok... any clues? are there hidden levers, or any bizzare things you gotta do before moving the bar?
please tell me, i'm going out of my mind!

Look for the handle, then walk onto it, it should move and allow you to open the door.

annoying
Mings door is a pain - I did a reload and it moved immediately.
the swirly blades are in the basement below the buddha stairs.
the door to the switch - turn left and left again after the start of the level. find an empty room and stand about 1/3-1/2 way along to the left. press E to use - and a secret door opens. go inside, pick the lock, go in and throw the switch which stops the pressure-plate blades.
BTW there is a 'fire step' in the switch room.
if you position yourself carefully, you can eliminate the guards in two of the jade item rooms. you need to be in the shallow trough opposite the switch - but from there you can shoot both the guards in the room a slit away and those in the room at the far end.
you may use a lot of ammo, so before going to the final show-down with ming, go back to the barracks and get ammo.
BTW if you pick up the crossbow, you can get ammo from the chests near the beginning - go up a couple of levels and right back to the outside barracks before the main building - the chests have crossbow ammo in them. it requires a refesh load of the area, but the chests in the barracks on the waterwheel level also refill I think.
can't get back there? impossible you say?
if you jump onto the bonsai in the corner of the water-wheel room, from there you can jump onto a bit of ledge and then over the railing onto the gallery - not easy, but once you have done it and got fully ammo'd up, you'll think it worth the effort.
