Good post Weasel
On a lighter note, I felt I should share an amusing conversation I had with my six year old today. He was reading a party invitation he received and asked if it was this Saturday. I asked him what date was on the invite and he replied August. I then asked him if he knew the date today, and after a moment of consideration he replied July 4th. I then happened to mention to him that this was a big day in the US (since he is starting to take a big interest now in the outside world...though I am getting tired with him asking 'what is French for' or 'How do Australians say...' Anyway, he wanted to know why it was a big day that they would get fireworks in the summer and not in November as we do. When I explained he became very sullen. I asked him what was wrong and his response was 'Well we will never rule the world now!!'
Happy July 4th

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Happy 4th of July...
...to all you Americans out there.
BTW, why the exclusion of the Southwesterners?
@Ysh: You must be a proud mother!

How was the BBQ and all those All-American grub you eat on ID?
Sorry about the SWers, I guess they have to celebrate with less flamin' stuff.

Re: Glad to see...
(Minor burn to some areas don't count
)
Since I don't drink...don't like BBQ that much..my sister (Yes I crashed my sisters house for the 4th
) cooked steaks on the grille and made my favorite..Tea.
I took the time to experiment with some bottle rockets..(12 at one time..long fuse)
So I call it a success.
(I did wait around and make sure no fires started up afterwards.)

Weasel, I can't believe it...
... you too, like Fas, are on tea?!!!
You don't drink?
Really?
Bottle rockets, huh? 12 at a time? Who was the lucky target of your pyro-pleasure?
I'm glad too that things were still safe for everyone.
EDIT- Your sister must have truly loved you.
