Help, please - Voerman sister's aren't there!

Post by QuenGalad »

Hi everyone and thanks in advance.

My brother is playing Bloodlines right now and has this strange problem. We couldn't find anything like that on the web.
Seems that after he gets to the Asylum Club and eavesdrops on the Voerman sisters, he's supposed to enter the room and talk to them. Unfortunately, there's nobody in there, the room is empty.

He says he can't proceed past that point without talking to them, so is there anything that can be done?

Sounds like a glitch. Bloodlines is prone to glitches due to the quick-n-dirty way scripting was implemented (external Python shell, 'outside' of the game). They are are rare, but they occur and I have seen some pretty freaky stuff. Try reverting to an earlier savegame and re-enter the area, it's important that you reload the script for the 1st time (just walking in and out won't do).

Thanks, though he was unsuccessful. I don't know whether he didn't have an early enough save or what, but he said he's had no luck. Guess he'll have to start over.

QuenGalad, is your brother running the unpatched game? Or an early patch of Wesp's, or a different patch altogether? Or two patches? The True Patch and Wesp's patches are not compatible, and may cause even further glitches in the game. The other thing it can be, as well, is a conflict in the mods you, or he, put into the game. You may have to reinstall the game and start from scratch.

I'm positive he didn't add any mods, he's as vanilla as they make 'em :D He mentionned downloading a patch, but I don't know which one. Thanks for the info, I'll definitely tell him not to mix the two.

Get the Wesp update. The 7.3 is the best one out there. As for mods, you or he will have to search for some, however, I do have a number of them. Google search can find most of them.
