Problem with 'Explosive Beginings'

Post by derekf08 »

I'm having a bit of a problem with this quest. I've gotten to the part where I set the astrolite, but I can't seem to figure out how to backtrack the heck outa there! I keep running into locked doors, and the big garage door is closed. Help plz!

What I typically do, before I plant the explosives, I go through and unlock all the doors. That way, I don't run into those problems later. Anyway, It's best to clear the whole place, well as much as you can, before setting the explosives anyway.

Down the stairs, a shovel head will bust open the door. Kill him, go through the door he busted open and follow the path towards the water tower around back. There should be another shovel head in the building.

The game locks the doors until you kill the shovel heads... IE: you can't ignore them and run past or sneak your way out because their death triggers unlocking the doors. If you can avoid getting hit (say you have obfuscate) you may be able to unlock the door. Don't know, never tried it. I always just kill the shovel head.

Ok, cool thanks guys. now i have another problem. i refered to the walkthrough about 50 times to make sure i have the right door, but after tin can bill dies, and you go into the sewers, it says to pick the lock of the door, and theres only one door so im assuming thats it. well when i hit the button to pick the lock, it simply wont let me...it just keeps making a clicking sound. help plzzz

Ah, this is typical of the game. What you want to do, is to reposition yourself, in the game, so that you have the lock icon steady in your screen, then try to unlock it. It does happen once in a while, so, just be careful of this minor glitch in the game, and you shouldn't have too many problems.
