Out of range??

Hi.Im using a Benq Q flatscreen panel monitor.Win Xp sv pack 2 with the latest Nvidia graphic card.Ive installed the game Vampires The Bloodlines but whenever i try to run it the screen goes blank with a "out of range" message.Pardon my lack of knowledge.Please help (=

Ok, what you need to do is install the drivers for your monitor. In fact, I recommend everyone who's not running a laptop to do this. Second, make sure your card is properly seated, and fastened into it's slot, as well as your monitor cable is also securely fastened into the card. Third, update your video card drivers. Fourth. manually preset your resolution to either 800x600 or 1024x768. I can't remember what, if any, the command line code is to set the game to either of those modes, off-hand. Anyway, try all of that.

Also, you can try forcing your screen refresh rate to 60 Hz.
