Hi,
I seem to have come across an odd bug which isn't mentioned in any of the other posts. I've just completed the Santa Monic section and are now in the Downtown area exploring. Upon entering Skyline Apartments, the load screen appears briefly then crashes straight to the desktop. I've re-loaded a couple of times but each time the same thing happens. Has anyone else experience this and/or knows a way to fix it?
I'm currently using the offical 1.2 patch and the unoffical 6.0 patch.
Skyline Apartments - Crash on entry
My thought was how long did you play the game until it crashed on you. Also, I'd ask what resolution you were playing in, things like that. But, sometimes, things like this fixes itself. Usually it's something you have to do to clear up something. Sometimes it's a get out of the game, reboot, and play again, sometimes it's just a small flaw in the game that needs to be worked around.

Umm it was a pretty straight run through say about 6 hours, I'm using the standerd low res option, my hardware is pretty top of the line but I know some older games can spaz out if you crank up their settings. It was my first crash, crash but saying that two bugs I cam across were:
My first time playing through the combat function didn't work but i restarted and it was fine. Whilst playing a fair few times the 'use' icon for doors wouldn't appear but I found when i reload from an earlier save game they appeared again. So nothing game killing but just a little irritating.

Sometimes a door opening icon may appear, but you move your mouse and it disappears. Check your mouse settings, and think about saving, and just leaving the game for a little bit. Sometimes game glitches aren't really glitches, but are actually computer/memory glitches. Slow your mouse movement, somewhat, when looking for things. If you can, set the mouse sensitivity a little lower, in the game.
