How can I tell which patch is installed?

Post by TonyM19 »

Hi

Is there a way that I can tell? I have a freshly installed game. Will it automatically be v1.1? Will it matter if I apply the official v1.2 patch if its already at v1.2?

I played this game on first release and I'm dying to give it another go with the new unofficial patches. Any recommendations or should I just go for the latest?

If you use the retail game it will be 1.1, if you use a downloadable version it will be 1.2. AFAIK the only way to tell is trying to install 1.2 which won't work if the game is already patched.

You should use the latest version 5.4 which is very stable compared to some of the older versions.

Thank you.

I installed the 'plus' version of the patch. I noticed the History change on the Character selection page (which I thought was a neat touch). Is there a list anywhere of exactly what the plus patch has added, without trailing through the details of every little bug tweak?

I'm about an hour in and remembering how good this game is.

Down the readme file is a section about restored content, this is were most of the special plus changes are described.
