Unofficial Patch 4.7 released!
Unofficial Patch 4.7 released!
Hi everyone, I know it hasn't been much time since 4.6 but because my current main bug-hunter Dark666Prophet was asking for the next version already, and again enough stuff had accumulated, the unofficial patch 4.7 is out and available as usual as an exclusive for the first few days from The Patches Scrolls ((The Patches Scrolls) Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines Downloads)!
This time both the full patch and the incremental one are installer versions only as Worthplaying again removed the readme from the archive! The changelog is below.
P.S.: I just noticed that I forgot the CD quest fix for plus patch users, so anyone keen to do that, please wait for an hotfixed version which should be available soon.
P.P.S.: The version on the The Patches Scrolls DLH server has been hotfixed now.

Hey Wesp5, first of all, thx for the great patches you keep releasing very often!
I have an issue ithat was also happening with 4.5 and 4.6 and is still there in 4.7. Sry if it was already answered in the forums, but I couldn't find it through search.
Im playing a female tremere with emphasis on seduction. In the assylum there are two chicks that you can seduce for blood refilling
Well, the chick downstairs causes my sstem to freeze(with a neverending sound loop) after i try feeding on her the second time, not in a row, but after a while. The screen goes black and sound keeps repeating, sometimes i can exit, most of the times i have to restart.
The chick upstairs was fine for 4 blood refills, and then the same thing happened to her. Is there any console command that can fix this, or is the bug unfixable?
THX

This is a known random bug which sadly is unfixable and probably connected to the video drivers. I heard it happens more frequently with Geforce 8800 cards.GanjaStar wrote: Well, the chick downstairs causes my sstem to freeze(with a neverending sound loop) after i try feeding on her the second time, not in a row, but after a while. Thanks wesp for your effort, thanks to you, i can finally complete my poster quest, instead of checking my email like a fanatic hoping to reactivate the quest =) Btw, does your plus patch clashes with your basic patch? Since using the plus, i was able to see the poster quest as seperate while using just basic, it still blank as usual, i install the plus patch before installing the basic patch, wonder if this info will help? and Thanks for your effort
btw..
I found a bug in this new patch, in the previous patch v4.6, i had complete the quest: "GOING THE WAY OF KINGS" , and i had collected the reward for it, but in the new patch, it reappear under quest, so what should i do? Should i ignore it?
This is optional, but i be really glad if u can shred some light on this: While doing the "MODEL CITIZEN" quest, when i open the door, a ping was heard and i check my quest log, it says that i had failed my quest, but i just ignore it, since i had notarget enable, i just carry on with my quest, and placed all the cameras at their spot and i proceed to enable the quest, under my log, its say that i have to go back and report to her, but when i talk to Imalia, she got mad, while i check my quest, it says that i had succeed, so does this mean that the game takes whichever outcome it concluded first and ignores whatever progress that u had made?

You can ignore it as this is the result for continuing the old saved game which you should never do in the first place.mrfatso wrote:I found a bug in this new patch, in the previous patch v4.6, i had complete the quest: "GOING THE WAY OF KINGS" , and i had collected the reward for it, but in the new patch, it reappear under quest, so what should i do? Hmmm, I better add a condition to the next version that the quest is over once you fail to avoid something like this. While doing the "MODEL CITIZEN" quest, when i open the door, a ping was heard and i check my quest log, it says that i had failed my quest, but i just ignore it...
The basic patch should completely revert any changes the plus patch did so this is like it's supposed to be as I added the additional logs to the plus version only.mrfatso wrote:Btw, does your plus patch clashes with your basic patch? i see, hehe, i thought that the plus patch just adds stuff, so oh well, anyway, for the quest "Model citizen" the funny thing was that i had notarget enabled throughout the entire quest, and i still fail haha, so could this be a bug caused by the console? So, since notarget has been enabled, shouldn't i be considered invis to everyone? I did this for previous stealth missions and it work, so why isn't it working for model citizen?
I think they may not see you, but they hear you opening doors or bumping something and this is enough to fail the quest.mrfatso wrote:So, since notarget has been enabled, shouldn't i be considered invis to everyone? It's doable but it's very hard. That was the reason I added the failure message in the first place because in the original you had to went all the way back to the warrens to have Imalia complain that you were noticed. If they even say something like "Hmmm?" or "Is there someone there?" it failed but I removed the possibility to continue nevertheless for the next patch version.mrfatso wrote:woah, then if thats the case, how do u complete this quest? Seems kinda impossible...
o,so thats suppose to happen, i thought it cos its a bug or something like that, haha, well, i go back and talk to her again then, and thanks for your help :laugh:Wesp5 wrote:It's doable but it's very hard. I ran into a problem during the "AND HER NAME WAS VENUS"-quest (basic patch 4.7). I'm playing a female Brujah with rather low Persuasion-skill, so I had to kill Dema in order to get into Boris' room. The first time I went in, Boris only said his Russian text in brackets and I could only answer "I have no valid replies.". After killing Boris I couldn't move my character anymore and had to reload. The second time, Boris did say his whole text and the conversation occurred correctly. But still my character froze after trying to leave the room. In previous runs through the game I never had problems with this particular scene, but in the past I always used to persuade Dema to let me enter the room.
Yup, you discovered the big problem I accidentally introduced in 4.7, which I already fixed for 4.8 and which will make me release 4.8 very soonAscendency-Down wrote:I ran into a problem during the "AND HER NAME WAS VENUS"-quest (basic patch 4.7).
I had failed that mission before with the "hmm?" or "anyone there?". I haven't seen the patches having any effect on the actual difficulty of completing that quest. I found it was actually easy to avoid detection by just going into a crouch when first entering the building (not their room). Stay in the crouch the whole time and you should have no problems. I do like it now with the patch where you know you failed immediately instead of going through the whole thing and finding out when seeing Imalia again. At least then you could reload a save and try again.woah, then if thats the case, how do u complete this quest? Seems kinda impossible
A long time ago I made a mistake on this quest having an almost full inventory when Imalia gave you the 3 cameras. Maybe only one would actually end up in the inventory (cause you only had one open inventory slot left). There was no message saying you only had one instead of all three. So you would spend all that time going to the room and then finding you ran out of cameras.
