Unofficial Patch questions

I downloaded the game off of Steam and heard good things about the unofficial patch. I had a couple of questions. First can I just download the latest patch available or are the some previous ones I would need and second, how do I apply the patch to steam. I was getting ready to download the latest when it asked for the folder where they'll be installed and wasn't quite sure what to do there. Thank you for any help you can give.

As for your first question, the latest unofficial patch 4.6 includes all the previous patches, and as for your second question, just move around in your steam directory and its subdirectories until you find a folder called "Vampire - Bloodlines". This should be the right one.
