Finding, instead of buying weapons?

Post by Lukeatus »

*Spoilers*

Hey guys,
Most weapons you can find on the game instead of buying them, though some very late. Do you guys know where to find any weapons not listed, or how to find it earlier? Where I know to find them:
Brock Pistol - Lotus Blossom, Chinatown
Colt Anaconda - "Eye gourge Hell" Mission, behind noodle shop, Chinatown
McLusky - Kill Malkavian at "Bloodhunt" Santa Monica Mission
Jeagerpas Rifle - Warrens 1 right after killing Tzimisce, locked door.
Kilmatic Uzi - Glaze shootout
Katana - Glaze shootout
Flamethrower - Hollowbrook
Talmera Blade - Hollowbrook

Anyone know if there's a way to find any of these weapons sooner? The only one I usually buy from the list is the McLusky. The others I wait to pick up, than by ammo from Mercurio. Anyone know if there are any of these weapons to find in the game?:
-Fire Axe
-Sledgehammer
-Bush Hook
-McLusky before Bloodhunt

Just wondering.

Well

Somebody claimed to have found a fire axe in the Ocean House Hotel. He wasn't specific and I've never found it.

The Colt Anaconda is also dropped by Zhao, and by the guards in Kamikaze Zen.

Jaime Sues are dropped by various Society of Leopold guards.

The crossbow is found in a locker in Ming's temple's barracks.

The axe was added in one of the recent patches and it is behind a sofa in one of the rooms on the first floor.

Also with the unofficial patches Bruno Giovanni and some hunters will drop the Desert Eagle/McLusky pistol.

The axe...

Hi Wesp.

:( I know this is an old thread but only here have I found some info regarding the Fire Axe in the Oceanside Hotel. I'm now playing as a Malkavian (who has an Inspection advantage) but didn't find the axe anywhere. I even raised my Inspection level to 7 with the sole purpose of finding that axe, and I swear I searched the whole place with a fine comb without success.

I've searched a lot of threads here looking for the axe's location, but this is the only one I found that actually mentions it. I've searched several web pages trying to find some info of its whereabouts, but to no avail. I've also looked for it in each list of changes of each version of the patch that are in the Patches Scrolls page too...

I suppose the Fire Axe was considered to be too much powerful to have it this early in the game so it was removed, am I right? The other possibility is that it's only included in the Plus version of the patch (which I don't use).

If it's not there, well, I like to play by the rules. Just wanted to mention that it would be cool finding the murderer's hidden axe in some corner of the mansion, so everytime I used it i'd say to myself: "this was the instrument with which a whole family was murdered..."

Of course, I could be wrong and that damned axe is still there waiting for me. Could you give me the exact location, please?

Thank you in advance.
And so I left...

This is the reason you didn't find it. Making the fireaxe available is obviously a gameplay change and thus did not belong into the basic patch.

Thank you for the answer. The site where I downloaded the patch (4.5 that is) removed the readme file, so I didn't even know what was the purpose for that "Plus" folder.
