Heather?

Hey guys,

Using the 3.2 unofficial patch now. I can't same to let Heather drink my blood at the hospital when I meet her for the first time, not even after I talk to the doctor. I just get the option: 'A doctor will be here soon...'

Any help?

Have you talked to Knox or Mercurio about the nature of Ghouls and vampiric vitae? You have to know that your blood can heal her first.

Yeah, I have. Went to visit Mercurio first, and ran into Knox on the way to the hospital.

Hmmm... Well, I've not yet installed 3.2 myself, so I'll do that and play around with it a bit this afternoon.

Did you install the patch after you started this game, by the way? If so, try starting a new game and see if the problem persists.

Nope, installed it before starting a new game. Weird eh?

Okay, took a look at Heather's dialogue file and your first encounter with her works a little differently now.

You still have to talk to either Knox or Mercurio about ghouls. Then, when you meet Heather for the first time, just keep talking to her. She'll ask you call a doctor first, then tell you how much it hurts, then ask you to call her grandma, and finally just cry out in pain. At that point, when you talk to her again, you'll get the option to feed her your blood. So just talk to her 4 times.

I just finished play testing this a minute ago, and it works.

I must agree with Anaximander; I started a new game with v3.2 patch and played through to Heather, and was able to feed her just fine. I'm not quite sure why you're having the issue though.

I was a bit non-plussed too - instead of havign the option to slit an artery and give her some of your vital juices, you have to talk to her a few times before it comes up as an option. it is very important that you have spoken to Mercurio to get the info on ghouls and I think you must also have not blown out Knox. I went back and made sure that I had been as nice as pie to both of them before visiting Heather on her couch. if you read the computer file on patients, she is definitely on borrowed time.

think of that, later in the game...
