out for blood-please help

Post by sofei »

I am at the “out for blood” quest and I can’t get pass the Vampires they are too many and too powerful. I used all my weapons and my disciplines but the most that I can do is kill one of them and than they kill me. What can I do? (I am a malkavian)

Sneak from the haven to the taxi, most of the vamps won't notice you. :)

You are welcome!! If you save before you get into the taxi, you can go back and try the different endings. Have fun! :)

Actually, I normally take them with the Flamethrower, and slaughter the lot (sneak up behind them and torch them). I've also had considerable success with a high ranged feat and sniping them with the "Jaime Sue" (oh, for heaven's sake, it's an off-the-rack scoped .303, OK?).

Trying them hand-to-hand is not a good plan.

That depends on your character. A Gangrel with 5 points in Strength, Stamina, Protean and Fortitude will rip them apart. Likewise, a Ventrue with 5 points in Presence and Fortitude can stroll down the streets of Santa Monica like he owns the place and literally take 0 damage. Toreador and Brujah with Celerity 5 and a decent combat skill will make mince meat out of these guys as well.

Stealth is extremely effective, and it is my preferred method of getting through the Blood Hunt, but the examples above are just as easy.

I've never done that quest without killing the lot of them. You can do it quite easily if you use a combination of sneak and attack. Just try to take them on one or two at a time and take it slow. If it gets too much, back off a bit - no harm in retreating every now and then, I do it all the time :o

So true. It's so easy to get caught up in the Banzai that you forget that you are allowed to run away, recharge, and come at them again. I tend to forget that sometimes. I'm more the "kill 'em all and let god sort 'em out" kind, I guess.
