What is the total number of Henchmen you can have?

Post by JustAnotherElf »

Although I saw in the Player's Handbook that you can have two people in your party, I want to think that it means "two people in addition to you".
However, I can only get 1 other person to come with me in my travels.

Does someone know if this is the limit and if not, what I can do to get more than one henchman?

Thanks!

I think I had 3 at the end of HotU, but I might be wrong, It's been a very long time since I played that game

In the original, unexpanded Neverwinter Nights campaign and in Shadows of Undrentide you can only have one henchman.

In Hordes of the Underdark, you can have two henchmen.

Thanks for the information.

I'll wait for the last installment to be able to play with two then. ;-)

Note that "henchmen" does not include summons or familiars. So Yeltsu might be thinking he had three henchies when he actually had one henchie, a summon and a familiar.

This might be a bug in the game since I managed to have 4 henchmen with me at the begining of the game.

I first took Dekin along, then ressurected Sharwyn and the others one by one. But it could have been removed with the update by now.

At the end however, 3 is max I think

Three? I was under the impression that two henchies was the max, unless you had a plugin installed which allowed more. Am I mistaken? I've only ever finished the game with two henchies.

Without resorting to bugs the most henchmen you can have is two.

You can also have a summon, and familiar, and animal companion and a golem (I think it's in place of the summon, can anybody confirm?).

You CAN have three henchmen, but only when...

[*SPOILER*]

... at the end of chapter 1 of HotU the female drow joins your party and you have two henchmen (maybe Deekin and one of the others like Linu, Tomi, etc). But it's a very short moment because after you free Halaster he allows you only Deekin and the female drow.

It's so hard to choose which henchmen I want. I want to do a few of their storylines. Is there any cheat or modifcation you can do to allow multiple henchmen in the original? I'm talking single player only, I've never played multi and I'm not sure how it works, or even if there are henchmen in it.
