@Fable- thx for getin the name right :P Hey, can I trade my t-shirt for demi-godness? I have always wanted to sit on the clouds w/a magnifying glass and torch people :D I guess thats the REAL reason behind spontaneous combustion. And if the shirt is coming in the next century or so, I guess ill be lucky to be alive when it arrives! maybe it can be a family heirloom....

A demi-goddess, or a demi-god? Or demi-goodness, as in a pretty decent candy and cake, like eclairs that have chocolate on the top and custard inside? You really need to be clearer. :)

Bear in mind, training for godhood is very onerous. It involves all sorts of test, not the least of which is looking up the word "onerous." You will be expected to write lengthy essays, compute vast algorithms in your head (okay, I cheated on that one), kill huge beasties with a nail file, and find a twenty-five mile wide area that doesn't contain a McDonald's. These are only a *few* of the tests you will be expected to surmount! Think carefully before you choose this course of action, because there's no backing out once you've taken it!

@Robhin, good to see ya, too, again. :)

Believe it or not, I think we've got that here, too. Don't know how we managed to pull that off, since the horrid little things insist on popping up everywhere. *Sprays Golden Arch repellent* :D

Do you have some spare GA repellent? It can save lifes, you know.

BTW, here in Brazil it is not so common to have a McDonalds everywhere. There are a lot of places do dinner and lunch without that merchandise thingie, and the outcome is that McDonalds gets too expensive for our people.

Thats a dollar issue too, however.

Can you do something, Fablegod?

What surprised me, when my wife and I went to Hungary a couple of years after the fall there of Communism, was that despite the extremely high price (relative to their own cuisine), McDonalds was very popular. Teens were there all the time, eating, despite prices that would have been high in the US, and were three to four times the price of food at restaurants. And this was all for nothing better than a greasy, near-beef thing filled with additives.

So marketing would seem to be even more important than common sense, alas, for many people.
