Ending of the game (Spoilers)
I might be wrong about this, but I think you don't get any cinematics if you choose an option that doesn't let the Nameless One merge with his Mortality. For example, if the Nameless One has used the Bronze Sphere to learn his true name, it gives him the power to will himself out of existence, and if you choose to let him do that, the game simply ends. If you defeat the Nameless One's Mortality (which makes them merge, I suppose) or find a way to convince him to merge with the Nameless One, that's when you get the cinematics.

TNO willing himself out of existance has nothing to do with the Bronze Sphere. The requirement for it is simply that you have 24 WIS. Also, it plays the movie of TTO being destroyed and then the Credits movie. And the same movies are played if you defeat him in combat (the movie of TTO being destroyed, not the merging movie), so defeating him in combat does not force them to merge.

As VonDondu is wrong about the Bronze Sphere, I believe the same applies to the combat issue.
I've played the final scene with TTO twice: once I convinced TTO to merge with me, and the other I fought him. Well, both times NO merged with his mortality.
Note: the combat took place after TTO came back and realised I had resurrected my companions. Does the way you choose to fight TTO matter?
Btw, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

It would be nice if someone could post a list of all the possible endings and a brief description of what happens in each of them. I just don't have the time and resources to do it right now, or else I'd do it myself.
When I was playing the game, my chief concern was trying to find the best way to end the game, so I replayed the final encounter several times. All of the different possibilities were somewhat bewildering. I wanted to make sure that: 1) all of the Nameless One's companions were resurrected; 2) the Nameless One still had a "future", wherever it might be; 3) the Nameless One merged with his Mortality, restoring him to his "full glory"; and
4) it might be possible for the Nameless One to pursue a romantic interest; for example, Fall-From-Grace intended to seek him out. I was also concerned about the fate of the Nameless One's companions, and it would be nice to know what became of them, but the game didn't offer that. They're all capable of taking care of themselves, to varying degrees, but some of them seemed somewhat dependent and somewhat vulnerable, even after being released from the Nameless One's torment, since they still seemed to have a few "torments" of their own. I know it's just a game, but none of those issues seemed trivial to me after playing the game and getting wrapped up in it.
The solution I chose was the diplomatic route. The Nameless One convinced his Mortality to merge with him, then he resurrected his companions and said goodbye to them, and then he was taken away to the Lower Planes. Incidentally, that sequence of events probably contained most if not all of the cinematics. While that was not one of my primary goals, it was a desirable outcome. I'm glad there was a choice, and I'm glad that I was able to reach my goals. There was a certain abruptness to all of it, but I was happy with it.

I hear you, @VonDondu. PS:T was obviously conceived to leave you wondering what the fate of the NO and his companions; this game ached for a sequel. I wonder who owns the rights to it, now? There have been a very few occasions when CRPG sequels showed up years later, but typically, these have not involved the original writers, and the results were poor: Return to Krondor, for instance, was too orthodox an RPG, with too dull a script, after the original Betrayal at Krondor broke all sorts of rules (and succeeded).
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
Well, I have a list of all the ways to do the confrontation with TTO. I think I stole most of it from a post of fable's.
Anyone with a save game can see which cinematics play for each, but it's pretty standard - merging with him is always [merge]+[blood war]+[credits] and killing him (fighting him, willing yourself out of existance, using the Blade of the Immortal on yourself while in dialog with TTO) is always [TTO dying]+[credits]. Note that I am not saying this from memory, I am testing it out as I type this.
Here is that list;
Merge with TTO:
1. Threaten him with the "Blade of the Immortal."
2. Threaten to unmake yourself with your will (min. WIS of 24).
3. Threaten him with your true name (must have used the Bronze Sphere).
4. Convince him things will be ok if you merge (min. CHA of 24).
Kill yourself:
1. Use the "Blade of the Immortal."
2. Unmake yourself with your will (min. WIS of 24).
Kill TTO:
1. Kill him by normal combat alone.
2. Resurrect one of your companions while talking to him. Pick Morte first as he is not really dead, then you can pick someone else too.
3. Resurrect all your party members by tricking him to go check the Shadows (need to have found the "Sounding Stone" in the room with the crystal).
