I thought it was one of the low points of the series. Anyway, he punched M AKA Robert Brown, when the latter wanted to arrest or fire him (I don't remember which).
I never really thought of Brown as M. Bernard Lee was the only good one, but he died in 1981, right after Moonraker.

Out of the Dalton films, I thought that 'The Living Daylights' was a pretty good one! it had decent actors:Jeroen Krabbé (Dr. Nichols in 'The Fugitive') as the bad guy, plus John Rhys Davies as a Russian General.

He is great, he is also Welsh :D Certainly a better Russian than Robbie Coltrane who suffers from the Sean Connery curse. Which is the fact that you are yourself in every movie you appear in, Connery in Highlander, is exactly the same as Zardoz and Bond ;)
