HELP!!! can you set wildsurge numbers after installing the tob full eng patch???

Post by UserUnfriendly »

I read somewhere once you enstall the full eng patch for tob soa, currently in soa with wildmage cleric led party, you can no longer use cntrl -h to set wild surge number. pls help, so far I have had only beneficial wild surges, except I got blinded once, but full heal fixed that, but its making me nervous, and I really am the derminalistic sort of guy, is there any way to control the surges via cheat codes???

Tried cntrl h, does not work.

sigh.

also, for those of you who like sk, and plan to try wildmage cleric or wildmage druid, got my first wild surge with a priest spell. turned my sword glowing and all pretty....

giggle...

Thanks!!! :p :p :p

User, can you use any of the cheat keys, such as CRTL+J? If not, you may have to re-do the steps outlined in Power Users.txt.

yep, I have full cntrl j and cntrl q and other cheat keys. but I have read in another post the full eng patch for tob disables the cntrl h for wild surges. sigh.

this class is potentially the most powerful ever created, excepting my kensai sorc hack, but the wild mage kit is driving me insane!!!!!

sure, the cleric pool, and full access to spells like earthquake and natures beauty is nice, but I am thinking my latest version of the kensai sorc,

version 5.8,

is much more precise and without the stinking wild surges that drive me nuts...

about 5-7 spells per level, and the finest innate abilities after extensive testing will make the latest version the best and most lethal hack ever.

the one spell I really want for the kensai sorc is righteous magic, but the

DAVID GAIDERS BHAAL POWER REWARD,

draw on holy might, if added about 3 to this char will be as good, and has longer duration and improves ac and hit points pool.

and I am really getting tired of wild surges!!!!

POS!!!!

the wild mage kit fundementally annoys me cause its like a lottery, and when I want my party to blast a dragon with many spells, i expect the dragon to go down....

not my char to have a cow dropped on me....

ps...the draw on holy might innate has two versions in the spells list for sk, the "bhaal" prefix one will NOT be taken away in asylum, so you keep it.

soj, thanks, but i think bioware really pulled out deterministic wild mage kit, cause it would be overpoweringly powerful with ability to set wild surge numbers. say, are you running the full eng patch for tob? can you do cntrl - h to set surge numbers?

well, for fun, though, I will keep a spell that is perfect for the wildmage,

summon cow!!!

killer spell, works just like ring of ram, stopped only by magic resist, I think...

but if anyone knows of a way to make the wild mage kit locked and set up for stability, this hack is the ultimate power trip, except maybe a kensai sorc, with the right innates.

:o :(

The only patches I have are a few from Baldurdash and a few of my own. Yes, CRTL+H works for me - I like to set it sometimes for the humor (Kangaxx casts Imprisonment and makes himself glow wild colors :D :D ) What is this full eng patch thingy, anyway?

supposedly the TOB full english patch from bioware disables the cntrl h to set wild surges. so if you install teh full english patch, the official patch from bioware for tob, you cant use cntrl h anymore.

of course, if you already have installed balderdash patch, DONT install teh official tob patch.

my patches are

soa,
tob,
full eng patch for tob
bladerdash patch.

This shouldn't be under SoA, so I'm moving it to the ToB category.

ok, youre right, but nobody seems to be in tob forum anymore, fable.

:D

well, decided to try one more hack with this class, and give up. anyway got new name for kensia sorc, one I really like.

BUN-BUN!!!

in john ringos new book, bun bun is a 7000 ton tank, with a 16 inch battle ship cannon firing depleted uranium sabot discarding rounds at orbital velocity. kinda describes the kensai sorc to a T, eh???

bun bun refers to the cartoon character that is painted on the tank, of a floppy eared rabbit holding a switchblade. seriously bad attitude rabbit... :p

As far as I know, the CTRL + H code was removed by the latest ToB official patch - and I seem to remember that there were many discussion about this when it first came out as well (the patch that is)

long time no see sabre!!! welcome back...

yeah, that was what i remembered too, but i was hoping someone found loophole or exploit. I suspect if you install soa and tob, then create wildmage multi and set surge and then install patch it would work, but too much work.. :o
