If SYMians were The Muppets...

Post by Maharlika »

...I'd be Elmo Image (I may have a small voice but I carry a BIG ****! :o

Ernie and Bert: BS and Ned

The Count: McBane :rolleyes:

Kermit and Miss Piggy: Sleepy and T'lainya (the way these mods individually do their functions speak a lot on this. :D )

Big Bird and Snuffy: Waverly and Weasel (though these guys seem to be perennially on the other side of the poles slinging stuff against the other, somehow they look like they are actually bestfriends --- Minerva just somehow spiced up their friendship! :D )

Cookie Monster: Aegis (simply because C is for Cookie... ;) )

Oscar the Grouch: There would be two SYMian version. The DF's Oscar:Fas and The Flaming Oscar: Waverly (again!)

Harry the Monster: Gwally (Harry has this gruffy voice yet seems so gentle when it comes to children)

Grover: KidD007

Gonzo: Kayless (somehow there is something with the way Gonzo flirts with the lady chickens... Image )

The Animal (The Drummer Dude of the Muppet Band): Grunt Boy

The Muppet Chef: Mama Vood (it's the way the Chef prepares his food, like, too much shine? )

special mention:
Fuzzy the Bear: Buzzy the Bear (with excessive - or lack of- Ned's shine)

Wanna hear your version. Image

LMAO Image Not an inaccurate assessment, that.

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

I used to love Animal!!!! Right on Mar! ;)

As a child, Gonzo's hooky blue nose used to scare the beejeezus outa me (like sock puppets do to Homer). :D

LOL @Maharlika :D

How about Arnie and Birt (my muppet knowledge is limited to Sesami Street)? I somehow think Arnie is Weasel...

...in fact I was thinking of the same thing. Weasel makes a good Ernie with the way he laughs and makes fun of Bert. Bert is Waverly-like when he gets grumpy...

... but I have trouble imagining Waverly so engrossed with pigeons and well, "doing the croo-croo pigeon dance!" :D

@Grunt: The Animal! Now I remember! Yes, that's one mean but really cool dude there. :cool:

Well Kermit can be BOTH funny AND professionally minded. ;)

As for the red-haired Raptor beauty, it wouldn't do justice to our lady mod if we talk about piggy's physical appearance. Na-ah! No way.

Rather, I would like to emphasize on the muppet's demeanor and how she likes things done --- PRONTO! :D

...and on the side, no romance innuendo between the two of you... I think. :rolleyes:

@Maharlika: While eating my lunch, I came up with the best idea on Ernie and Bert (correct spelling :o )

Ernie = Weasel
Bert = Buck Satan

I think it's the perfect combination. :D

As Grunt points out, Bert and Ernie did turn out to be lovers. Therefore, I strenuously object that BS and I be paralleled with Bert and Ernie.

I believe we more fit the role of the two hecklers up in the balcony from the Muppet show. I don't remember their names but that's definitely us.

Now...are there any other volunteers and/or nominations for Ernie and Bert. This is a sensitive issue so be careful in naming your choices. Not to mention I think Bert is dead and Ernie is doing time sharing a cell with Bronson Pinchot so he's probably plenty happy.
