Heh, you don't have an "ö" for Björk.

I think she is one of the few pop musicians who really does something innovative. I also like her lyrics.

Miles Davis is a great musician, I think no other jazz musician has managed to follow the development of music like he has. I like both his older and more recent stuff.

1)Radiohead yeah **** I know it's a bit cliched and cheap but I'm from oxford so I'm allowed to like oxford bands no matter how big they get

this is just my current taste although I'm also a fan of oldish skool hiphop....Public Enemy, Run DMC etc and other ninja tune stuff apart from what I said above...roots manuva....ever seen him live anyone? but also more mainstream rock...MUSE, Soulwax, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, SFA.....yeah I am also a Portishead fan....Bjork, umm well. Vespertine is a work of genius no doubt, but I dunno if this is just a passing faze...I don't know if she is always becoming better and bettr, so her next album will be amazing, or if she is just changing, so her next album could be awful...oh yeah, and the Rolling Stones.

if we can get Minerva etc in here then maybe someone can correlate Musical taste, Religion, Gaming habits and Spamming tendencies to find out a formula for the archetypal SYMmian's personality...

Mmm, I'm not sure if there is the archetypical SYMmians. The best part of the SYM is that most of us are so different, I think.

Anyway, I can't pick three from any. I couldn't even pick 20 favourite classical music pieces before...

Heh, I saw Run DMC at Reading Festival last year

I like Bjork (don't have Vespertine though - Debut is a good album), she gets bonus points for being completely insane

but minus points for making Dancer in the Dark...

1: The Kinks (and/or Ray Davies solo).
2: Beethoven.
3: David Byrne (and/or The Talking Heads).

@Voodoodali: I used to listen to a lot of Nick Cave, but he kinda scares me now - must be getting old.

Have you ever heard of Crime and the City Solution? Mick Harvey from The Bad Seeds was in that band, and it put out a few really good albums.

EDIT: I like PJ Harvey, too.

I would assume also, unless I made wrong turn going to the festival and ended up in England. I doubt it though.

I haven't bought an album since the Smashing Pumpkins Greatest Hits, and since then I've had to contend with uni fee's and an ever-expanding booklist. Plus I've got to get a another guitar sometime soon, but I'll put it on my list.

Stories from the city and stories from the sea, is that one album?
