I woke my wife, and we went to the back door and turned on the porch light. There was a herd of about a dozen javalina (Collard Peccary) eating the cat food on the porch, and the light didn’t bother them in the least. They were grunting and knocking things over and having a great time. I grabbed my camera and took a couple of shots through the glass, without using the flash. I knew these shots wouldn’t come out, so I put the flash on, guessed at the focus, and opened the door. The javalina scattered away, and I only got a picture of the slowest one running away. This is the picture. Too bad you can’t smell their musk. They are really amazing critters.
