I never started listening to music until my Grade 8 year. It's been two since, I and I am finally caught up with the music trends!

Well, my individual tastes for music began to develop my senior year, which was also two years ago for me. As for the current "trends," i don't worry about them. I never listen to the radio. I'm just interested in discovering and listening to good music, while broadening my tastes in the process.

When I said I'm up to date with the trends, I meant I know them. I really don't care to follow them. Hell, I am what is called Retro Hippy. I listen to music from the 60's and 70's, and follow a lot of their ways...

I like a lot of that music, Word. But I think you got some new and old groups mixed in the wrong category.

I love Metallica. Even though they aren't as good as they used to be, i'll always be a loyal fan. I own every single cd, i don't need napster for that. Although i was disappointed in them for suing napster i'll still be a fan. They're my favorite band. The first music i started to listen to, Metallica.
Although some of they're newer albums have been pretty bad especially "load", but "reload" was better, but nothing can compare to the black album. Uforgiven is the best song ever, 2nd would be song 2(amazing), and the res would be more metallica songs with one or two songs by redhotchillipepper or rage against the machine.

I was raised on all that old stuff...love it! Saw the Doobie Bros in concert like a year-and-a-half ago. I'm not really into any on those newer bands. Smashing pumpkin has a few songs i dig, though it's their older stuff. 1979 is a great song.

Ok, so that was deliberately the more obtuse stuff... :D

@Veh Dido, Moloko, Garbage, Moby, the Verve, Sarah McLachlan, Propellerheads...
The jury is still out on Travis... They've done a few good songs, but they're kinda dull... oh, and they are headlining Friday (I think...) at the festival I'm going to this weekend... ;) Weird Al is amusing the first few times you hear it... not when you know people who play it constantly, then you get sick of it...

@SS I haven't heard of quite a lot of yours either though :D I'll refrain from biting you though, if it's all the same... ;)

Hmmm, a few more...
Air, Ash, At The Drive In, Beach Boys, Beatles, Bernard Butler, Beth Orton, Bjork, Blondie, Carole King, Catatonia, Chic, Corrs, Crowded House, Divine Comedy, Dubstar, Eels, Eric Clapton, Eva Cassidy, James, James Brown, James Taylor, Jeff Buckley, Jewel, Kelis, Kinks, Lemonheads, Lene Marlin, Leona Naess, Macy Gray, Madonna, Manic Street Preachers, Marvin Gaye, Massive Attack, Neil Young, No Doubt, Placebo, Pulp, REM, Robbie Williams, Robert Miles, Semisonic, Sly and the Family Stone, Stevie Wonder, Stone Roses, Texas, Tori Amos, Undetones, Wannadies, Weezer... :D
Who, me?!?
