Help with Histories -- CQM

Post by cornoratu »

So I have downloaded the CQM 1.2.1 pack from
http://www.filefront.com/14924541/VtMB- ... od-v1.2.1/
The one that includes histories revised mod, arsenal mod and camarilla edition mod and I`m having some trouble with the histories;

Apparently in the Histories000.txt file, they are all there (the ones from histories revised mod), but ingame I only get the classic histories;

Also, i can`t seem to find the CE histories ingame either (I haven`t looked for them in the .txt file)

Anyway, I was wondering if there is any way to get the histories from either Histories Revised mod or Camarilla Edition mod without messing up with the other game content (CE or CQM)

And also a question: I was thinking about downloading and installing histories revised mod separately... do the histories in that mod have any clash with the new things in CE ?

LE: I deleted the console errors, since they occupied too much space and everyone hates walls of text :)

Not really. The histories reference to sections of the traiteffects file and this has probably been changed by the CE and CQ mods. And BTW, those console errors are normal ;) ...

Guess I`ll wait for the next CQM pack, which will hopefully include unofficial patch 6.6 too and some better way to merge those mods... actually i only wanted to use CE and CQM both at once, I didn`t really need Arsenal or Histories revised, but they came as a bonus :X

Hey bud, maybe I can help...

I assume you are using CQM 1.2.1? I just downloaded it for the first time to play it last night and everything worked great. CQM w/ CE are both major overhauls to the game, so I would suggest uninstalling Bloodlines first, then going into the Activision (or Steam) folder and manually deleting everything out of it.

Then I would reinstall Bloodlines, next I would install CQM 1.2.1 choosing whatever mods you want. I choose CQM, CE, and Arsenal Mod for my options and it worked out great.

I'm not sure how Burgermeister merged Histories Revised with the histories from CE, I don't know if they cause problems or not, but if CQM and CE were the only things you wanted I would just install those for starters.

Hope that helps, and by the way, CQM was amazing the new quests rock!

Well, i didn`t have any previous game installation on my hdd, or any savegames as a matter of fact... i just saw that pack, and browsed your forum (the CE forum) and read a few stuff about cqm too and i wanted to play them both simultaneously if i could; so I installed vtm:b vanilla, and then i just installed that CQM 1.2.1 pack, but i also chose Histories Revised mod, so I`m guessing that`s where the problem is...

Anyway, does anyone have any idea if and when should we expect another merge of CE and CQM, this time with patch 6.6 ?

Thanx for the help, Z and I`ll try to follow your advice and only choose CE, CQM and arsenal

Over and out...

I think burgermeister from the CQM is planning to do this, but I don't know when...
