First Person Animations

Post by Ar.Pi »

Hi all,

I've decided to play this awesome game again, with the new unofficial patch this time (thanx Wesp).

I was wondering about the first person animations i saw in the early videos of the game. Was it removed by Troika? is there any mod that brings back these cool animations? Disciplines looks so much cooler with these vampire hands animations.

You guys know what i'm talking about right?

I found one or two first person animations, but the way the disciplines are handled now they can't be restored.

damn, such a bummer! :(

These animations looked so sweet, it gives a whole lot more to the dark arts and spells than just seeing the effect.

Anyone has any idea why they were removed? devs said anything about it?

Very probably because of gameplay reasons. Because with these animations you would have had to switch over from weapons to disciplines and back which would have taken too much time during intense combat.

Yeah i see what you mean. Still they should have made the animations. A good idea would have been just to show animation of discipline while holding the weapon, say with just one hand (if its 2 handed weapons, character could just hold it with one hand for the duration of animation). I don't remember if you can shoot and cast a discipline at the same time.

Well, w/e, can't change that now :)

Yeah...those animations are kind of cool...but it would be dificult to use in combat like Wesps sayd...maybe if they could be turned off and on...like we have the normal way of using the powers, then we press TAB to toggle the animations :P ...just kidding...but they do look kind of coooool
