If I recall it correctly, you click on the Battlefield Key. Then you open your skill selection window en select Battlefield and use that skill.

There is a 1/1 durability sword. It went to 0/1 durability so I can't use it anymore. the sword has been set on the ground, repair skill selected,...

IIRC, Repair at level 1 gives you 60% durability back. The only way I can see getting full durability back is Repair at skill level 5.
