I picked this game up at Target for 10 bucks and have been enjoying it very much. However I've got some questions.
I've got the 2 teleporter stones, but one of them seems to keep dissapearing on me. I've got one near the bed where I started the game, and picked up the other one at the bottom of the catacombs. I put the pyramid in my inv. and then hit the portal thing near where I found the second stone to return to town. I still had it in my inv when I got to the town and sold some stuff.
I then started out the quest to talk to some general, got fried by the dragon, then rescued by some other wizard, killed a couple of trolls, then headed to an Inn. At this point I noticed that the teleporter stone wasn't in my inv any more. I loaded up an earlier save game and it still wasn't there. I had to go back to the level where I first found the stone to get it again. I then did the whole thing over again, and headed back south to find the general not really thinking about the stone. Low and behold, got to the Boar Inn again, and no stone in inv!
Is this normal or some type of bug?
Few questions about Divine Divinity
Thanks very much for the prompt response.
Yes I believe I did, although I'm not sure if I needed to. I noticed I had game version 1.034 when I first installed the game and have the same now. Either way I did install it. I lost some savegames for some reason when I did though.
I traveled back to the starting town from the Boar Inn, and got to the bed where my first stone was, then got teleported back to the bottom of the catacombs, and sure enough there was the other stone. I put it back in my inv, then used the portal thingy and got back to town. I then headed back to the Boar Inn and of course got waylaid by trying out some new areas while heading there. Now, so far anyway, the stone is still in my inv, so I guess I'm OK for the time being.
Still have questions though. I downloaded the manual, but there's some things I'm not sure of. When the wizard killed the dragon guy, he dropped some sort of charm icon that I have no idea how to use. I also figured out how to get poison from some barrels but have no idea how to use it with my bow. Do you know of a website that explains the gameplay mechanics?
Either way, very interesting game. I hated Diablo with a passion but this game seems to have many more options, and so far anyway, an interesting story to go along with it.
Thanks again.
