What exactly is the difference between hard and easy mode, in what way is the hard mode harder to play exactly?

My understanding is that the things you fight are much harder to kill on more difficult levels. You don't get any more experience for killing them, however.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

thanks for the info. as easy mode is too easy it seems, it may not be a challenge anymore.
