No, I'm not using any mods. It's the GOTY edition for PC so I know the patches are up-to-date and such. And I've tried everything I can think of to make the scrolls work but they just won't.

If the above mentioned thing doesn't work, try turning user account control off. That thing is annoying anyways, especially if you're the only user of the computer.

I seem to not be able to equip magic rings or scrolls. When I take the item from my inventory and equip it onto my character nothing happens (for the rings) or for the scrolls, it just lets me read it and nothing else. Ok, this may seem like a stupid problem but I cannot for the life of me find Hassour Zainsubani ANYWHERE in the Inn. I've spent at least 3 hours searching for him. Can anyone give me a detailed description of where he is at? I've read this and other walkthroughs and still can't find the guy.
