If you have defeated Captain Okatta and freed Lord Davenmor; visit the Fargrove tavern and talk to Gileah. She won't tell you anything about Mara until Okatta is defeated and Davenmor is freed.

Mara is the daughter of Lord Graemare (which also makes her the sister of Valdane). Gileah won't tell you ...

You won't find it in a shop. I doubt you'll find it as a boss drop, but maybe (I have not fought all tier 3 bosses, but there is where I would think it could be found). You can find it in a chest, either in the Irythinbal maze or in the Dreadoth temple.

If the yellow dot is showing up on the mini map, then just getting close enough should trigger the interaction. From what I remember of it, its about knee height to the left of the corner of the wall. It can be hard to spot because of the broken barrels. And, no the trigger has not moved in CE from ...

When you pound on the guy for a while, he disappears (and then regenerates) He drops a stone at that point. Pick up the stone and place it at the point of the triangle. Another section of the room opens. Pound on the guy again and get another stone, place this in the new point and continue until the ...

I use a zig zag route up to the nests. There seems to be a switchback up the hills to the nests that goes from center to the right and back up towards the center. A good technique, if you don't mind reloading, is to save before you reach the point where the drakes come out after you. Then just go ...

from Fargrove: walk up to the gate of the fortress. Follow the fence to the north (right) until you reach a second gate. There should be a trail there, follow the trail north. Keep heading north when the trail ends until you are wet. Watch out for mushmen around where the trail ends, about 20 of ...

You actually managed to kill the Elven Wizard in the last room? Man, you must really be good. The key to beating that room is you just have to hold out through the waves of enemies and eventually platforms will lower.
And not save while inside that last room and reload. That room and the area, don ...

The daughter is a quest that won't be completed until the near end. You receive clues on where to find her, or more appropriately where to find the next clue.
By finding the daughter, and ensuring her safe return to her father, you set the game on course for the finale. There is no going back to the ...

Ranger Lord

I finished up my game as a Ranger Lord. My other second level class was Shugenja.

The Hawkeye ability (kill shot with one arrow) is the reason to ascend to Ranger Lord. I finished with the skill at 10 and wasn't about to go any higher due to the cost. The critical hit works for all ranged weapons ...

1- does the skill "throwing weapon" add some damage ?
2- does strength or dexterity add some damage ?
3- is there special moves for high levels of throwing weapons ?
4- does speed (agility related ?) increase your rate of fire ?

I did some quick testing. Used a save just outside the Druid temple in ...

After you deliver the map to Mundruff (which accepts you into the Guild of Mystery), talk to him again. You should have the options to ask about the Hunter and Trickster. When you ask about either of them you will be told the requirements for them. If you meet the requirements, then he will offer ...

I have 2 theories as to what it could do.

1. Works like the crystal of life so that you don't lose attributes when you revive. Doesn't really make it worthwhile that way.

2. Gives a chance that when taking a hit that would otherwise kill you, instead it leaves you with 1 hp.

The first one is kind ...

Some things I have noticed

Playing through for a second time. The walkthrough here has been invaluable. I never would have made it across the sewer bridge without it (I might have eventually, but that troll would have killed me every time, or I'd be lost in Fargrove somewhere).

First time through was female elf fighter ...

If you installed the game already, the PDF manual can be found on your hard drive at C:\Program Files\Dreamcatcher\Dungeon Lords (if default install location). There are a lot of files in that folder so the easiest way to find the PDF manual is to sort by file type. Since it is an adobe acrobat file ...
