For RP purpose (not powergaming ones), I would like to play a knife thrower character. I looked in the weapon database and found there is no real good throwing knife damage wise. The max is 5-8 +magic for a shuriken I don't really want to use. The "best" throwing knife is 4-6 without any magic on it
I would like to know
1- does the skill "throwing weapon" add some damage ?
2- does strength or dexterity add some damage ?
3- is there special moves for high levels of throwing weapons ?
4- does speed (agility related ?) increase your rate of fire ?

I did some quick testing. Used a save just outside the Druid temple in the Vale of Ruin. Fought a group of 6-8 Druids and and second group of Chunnelers.
Level 14 throwing weapon, 80 strength, 85 dexterity, 85 dexterity (plus hawkeye skill 10 and the hunter heraldry); using golden throwing knife and venom throwing knife -
1&2. damage was at the listed 3-6 for the venom and 4-6 for the golden throwing knifes. I seemed to get more 6 damage then 3, 4 or 5 though I can't say if the skills present had any effect. I didn't notice any missed throws, though some were blocked. I doubt there is anything that will increase the standard damage for the thrown weapons. I had hoped that the Hunter heraldry would have an effect the same as for bows.
3. Overhead throw and sidearm throw. Same if you are standing still, moving forward, backward (more overhead throws), strafing, jumping, rolling, back flipping (when you land).
4. can't really comment on speed as I didn't test anything to compare with but with the above I could throw fairly quick. It seems like the animation for the sidearm throw is quicker and results in faster throws.
One plus - nearly all of the kills came (eventually) by critical hit due to the hawkeye skill
I bet it was a lot harder battle than just dropping a nova or two.
I always wanted to make a rogue character and tried ninja lord but I was dissapointed with throwing weapons and with backstab. Ninjitsu is pretty cool though especially the jump kick.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
