Actually, I read somewhere in an interview that originally, if you attacked and killed the squirrel, later on in the game you would be attacked by a pack of squirrels seeking vengeance, but it was changed.

Definitely rep driven - I had a chaotic good elven fighter/thief who got all "evil" powers. The dreams change as well. The overall theme of the dreams stays the same but small differences in the dreams indicate the path your character is taking.

Interesting thought. I think it might be fairly easy early on with the wand of magic missiles, and the wand of frost, along with sleep and magic missile spells. Plus, IIRC, mages have a better chance of saving against magic, so the only real weakness is the lack of hp. I might just have to try a ...

@Sailor Saturn: That was probably him. Generally, if the options have something like "I want to join", then you want to take that option. You don't have to, but at least that way when you destroy the bandit camp, you do so at a time of your choosing, say, after you've entered Tazok's tent.

@humanflyz: I think that in Unfinished Tales, or in one of the series of the Middle Earth histories edited by Christopher Tolkien, it notes that Bombadil was likely the same race that Gandalf was - a Maiar. (Although it seems that Gandalf and the remainder of the council were some subset of the ...

If you tell Khalid and Jaheira that you don't want them to join when you first meet them, I don't think you get a second chance - like Montaron and Xzar. Also, if Jaheira left your party because of your actions, you can kiss her goodbye - she'll never be back.

Y'know, it might make sense if you thought about it in a more general sense. Charisma is clearly stated not to be so much a measure of physical beauty as it is a measure of the character's ability to attract people. Despite that, many people still equate charisma with physical attractiveness. In one ...

Also, you don't have to pickpocket the priest. Just tell him that you need the tome of wisdom. Ask nicely a couple of times, and he'll just give it to you.

SPOILER

The priestess of Umberlee wants the tome for one of the quests in Baldur's Gate, but you don't have to give it to her. Just kill her ...

Nael, that would be "Coming to America". Here's one for thought:

"I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, 'I drank what?'"

From the same film:

"It's a moral imperative."

From another film:
(paraphrase)
"Many nights, many nights, my friend, I held a knife to your throat. Glad ...

You know, there's another album or two that I think quite highly of that nobody has mentioned. How about U2's Joshua Tree or Achtung Baby?

As for PF, well, yes, I agree - for me Waters was PF. I got one of David Gilmour's solo albums years ago, and it was pretty bland. After Waters left, the ...

Give it to the thief on the level below. Then go back up and talk to the succubus. Of course, if you killed the succubus, I believe that Sorcerous Sundries can turn the hair into a cloak for you, which has similar properties to Algernon's cloak.

Yshania - I personally prefer Amused over the Wall. Now, I did suffer through Radio KAOS, and Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking to get there, so maybe by contrast, Amused gets the big vote from me. I still get chills from "It's a Miracle" and "Three Wishes". He also has some of the best lyrics ever, IMO ...

Patches??

Okay, I've got IWD, HoW, and ToTL all installed now, and I'm wondering...do I need to get the patches for both IWD and HoW, or does HoW automatically patch IWD, so that I only need the HoW patch, or what?

My favorite (by a long shot):

Roger Waters - Amused to Death

If you like concept albums, and enjoyed any Pink Floyd at all, you should pick it up.

Best RPG's:

The BG series
Ultima (particularly IV)
and I loved Betrayal at Krondor. One of my favorite things about that game was the way your abilities were improved. Want to be a better singer/bard? Practice with your instrument for a while. IMO, a much better system than the generic "level up ...

I haven't ever done this, but I thought you might be able to use the fireball trap to your advantage - like when you are fighting the dwarven doomguards, if you could just equip a fighter with the boots of speed and attract the dwarves to you, then run through the hallway, setting off the trap ...

My parents became Christians when I was about six ...

For what it's worth, here's my two cents...

Shakespeare was, for all practical purposes, the equivalent of a modern film maker. He wrote plays not to be read, but to be seen. In that light, I think that it would be difficult to consider his plays over rated. If you've seen any of the films by ...

I would think Boromir would probably be chaotic good. He wanted the "good" thing, but just didn't want to follow the chosen "lawful" path to get there. Now Gandalf would be interesting - of course, you'd have to give him like a 25 INT. And really, he'd probably be the FR equivalent of Elminster, if ...
