char level
The max character level is 20. The character level is the sum of the class levels. So a Ranger 1/ Rogue x will at most be Ranger1/Rogue19.

The pointbuy method is only one way to generate your stats. There's nothing in 3e that forces you to use that, it's only an option. It's up to the DM to decide what method that should be used for his/her campaign. If you tried the CharGen you might have noticed you could switch between different ...

@CYzada: What two more spell levels? The clerical spell list is divided into 9 levels just like the wizards. Not that it matters really, you have to look what spells there are and how they can be used, cast, how often etc.

Ok, here are the monk saves. Lets take a look at level 10 for example since your table look strange after that. A monk have +7, your class have +9 and so on. Call me a whiner if you want, but explain how you can say that your class doesn't have higher saves than the monk.
TABLE: The Monk
Base ...

Will probably start off as a cleric or monk. Human most likely and then perhaps a gnome barbarian.
And forget prestige classes, there won't be any in initial release of the game. (Not that I recall seeing samurai or ninja in the core rules anyway)

@/-\lastor: You CAN multiclass with monk in core 3e rules. It is just that there are certain restrictions about it. You can for example begin with some other classes and start as a monk later on. The restriction is that once you have taken monk levels and then take another class level you can't take ...

Unless his base saves really go down to +1 at level 9 his saves are really WAY too high (just like /-\lastor said). I think you should correct the typos on that page if you want better feedback. The BAB for level 4 and 5, are they really +4/+1, +5/+1 that doesn't really work out.
And I don't get ...

The problem with a hig dex low strength character is that you have to maintain light load to get full dex bonus to AC. So to have +6 (dex 22) on AC with a str 10 character you can't carry more than 33lb (assuming medium size). Otherwise you only get +3 (mediume load) or +1(heavy load).

You are aware of the conditions regarding multiclassing monks I assume? I.e if you are taking levels as a monk and after a while you decide to take another class level (like druid), then you can't take any more monk levels.

The description of Larloch is two pages long! So I won't bore with all the details.
This little excerpt might give you some clues about him however.
"Larloch is said to be the last surviving Netherese arcanist-king who ruled over his flying city for years and abandoned it before Karsus's folly ...

@Magus, yes I am well aware that The Simbul is an offspring of Mystra. But she is still a "Chosen of Mystra"(tm), just like Elminster.
Or is this covered in an errata somewhere?

Elminster? He wasn't a sister last time I looked ;)
He like The Simbul is a chosen of Mystra (which among other things adds con +10 as you can see below).
Elminster:
Ftr1/Rog2/Clr3/Wiz20/Acm5/Epic4
Str13, Dex18, Con24, Int24, Wis18, Cha17
219hp
CR45
The Simbul:
Sor20/Acm2/Wiz10
Str14, Dex18 ...

Don't know what was delivered on the BG2 cd. Those are feats from the 3e core rules (PHB) which NWN will be based on. I made him using the char gen from the PHB (also downloadable from WotC). The Track feat is automatically chosen since he started as ranger.
As a ranger he also benefits from ...

The only effect that I can see is that you are no longer restricted to light armor to make use of the feat.
Reading the PHB it looks like Ambidexterity and Two-weapon fighting would apply to a 2-bladed sword as well. Add to this Weapon focus and you are set to go

And the weapon has to be one size smaller than the character.
High strength does not mean more hits btw, just that you more likely to hit.
But I suppose you could take weapon finesse Rapier and dual wield them. Max out dex and wear a chain shirt. Perhaps even start with one level Ranger to get ...

If you want us to help you with your character you really need to give us some more information about it :) There's a lot of feats one can choose to emphasize strengths or help up weaknesses. These should also be put into the equation. Like 'Weapon finesse', 'Toughness' and so on.

Is str 6 really practical? If you want maintain medium load you can't carry more than 30lb. Weapons, spell books, spell components, clothing, food, water, bedroll, ... Armor? Don't even think about it.
Bulls strength? You don't get that until level 3 of cleric (or wiz)
