One of the reasons that your fingers actually 'print' is that they have oils that stick to stuff.

If your hand is dripping blood, then the oils are unnecessary, but even for a fairly red-handed vampire, that's probably rare.

As for prints being in someone's database, it doesn't particularly matter ...

I took the sewers, didn't run into Beckett on the way to the Last Drop, and proceeded to be dismembered by Fluffy in Griffith Park.

Yup, it's part of the Posters for Your Haven quest.

IIRC, you can get VV, Damsel, Jeanette, and Ming on posters for your pad.

I think the only weapons that will hurt the garg are blunt weapons. It may be even more limited than that - it might be fists and sledgehammer only.

Maxed Auspex lets you see the auras of everyone around you, through any walls or floors that might be between you. Auras are also color-coded in various ways so you can see who's human, who's not, and who's aggressive. Also, if you are a Ranged weapons type, it lets you do quite a lot of damage with ...

You can do the same thing without much Sneak if you're Tremere or Ventrue by Trance'ing the guard in the booth.

He'll probably wake up while you're hacking the cameras and shoot you.

When you're done you can use him as a blood pack, then Trance him again, run upstairs and stay Sneaked for a minute ...

It seems that this issue has somehow resolved itself. I reloaded from an earlier save, killed everything again, and had no problem this time through. Strange.

I'd say Tremere are overpowered actually, especially against large groups. I've been picking fights with 10+ goons with guns to see how easy they are and the answer is: very easy.

If I can't kill them all right away, I can Blood Salvo a huge group, top off my Blood tanks, run a little ways, then ...

I told Heather to leave before doing the Hollowbrook raid, and didn't get the armor. Unfortunately, the game seems to try to play a cutscene while I am in the hotel and then changes its mind in the middle, leaving the game frozen in cinematic mode with no action.

As a Tremere, whenever you have large packs of baddies after you, use Blood Boil on the guy in the front from Sneak. Trancing another guy is good too to block the crowd. Then you stand up and give them a target to shoot at, which they do for a few seconds.

You don't - you can kill the Russians - or Venus - before you ever talk to Larry.

Might not work for you if you are the wrong clan, but I played this as a Tremere and I just Trance'd anyone who was overly close to me and went past em. By the time Trance wore off I was long gone.

I have rarely crashed while playing this game but, of the 3 or 4 times I have, 2 were while doing something in Club Confession.

I'd reinstall, reload an earlier save, then turn all vid, sound, etc. options off and try again.

I've been playing a Tremere. So far (I am in Chinatown at the moment) there has been nothing particularly hard. I've got almost nothing in physical stats, good Unarmed stats, and some sneak skill.

I found angling into the vents and the nearest wall worked well, and I climbed them like ladders.

You get the add'l XP if you don't kill anyone I think, not if you are not seen. Not totally sure, but I think so.
