There are a number of 3rd party fixes that open these doors. The Nar Shaddaa doors appear to have something to do with Goto's Yacht. If you go in there you will see wall displays with a picture of the yacht. The Dantooine doors are useless. The Onderon doors, well, I've heard there's actually some ...

Your saves aren't deleted. Press the Switch Character button in the Load screen. The game is nice enough to save each game session under a different directory so saves do not overwrite each other from different playthroughs. It really is one of the nicer features of the game.

[QUOTE=Ripe]Yeah I think they're dueling blades also.

On a sidenote: why are you playing as a Jedi Guardian 15? I presume you are not playing as a neutral character so you should have enough LSP/DSP to qualify for a prestige class. You can talk to Kreia immediatly after reaching 15th level to gain ...

The vast majority of bugs in Neverwinter Nights and, by extension the KotOR series are caused by people using sub-optimal computers (aside from graphics, these games work nearly identically internally). Whether it be lack of memory, a very slow CPU, or a graphics card that barely meets requirements ...

Apparently you don't realize that some actual armors don't interfere with Force powers. Robes are junk since they aren't very upgradeable. Near as I can tell, Zeisson Sha is the best in the game.

Best is the Zeisson Sha Warrior Armor. It's fairly rare, but it is quite good. Fully upgradeable and it doesn't interfere with Force powers.

Consulars should be primarily WIS-based. Ignore DEX entirely past 12 or so, and once you get WIS to about 20 start pumping STR instead. STR can be around 12 or so (14 after boosts). Your prestige class should be Weaponmaster or its Dark Side equivalent to make up for your lack of combat abilities ...

It doesn't truly matter in this game. In KoTOR 1 the bad guys did not change difficulty as you leveled up, so in that game you got rather screwed if you did the planets in the wrong order. Here, though, it doesn't really matter, it's just all personal preference. If you go to any planet as a level 1 ...

If you're running an NForce 2-based motherboard, update the drivers from Nvidia's website. Get the Nvidia video drivers from their site too; the manufacturer drivers are always out of date and often unreliable. Update all other drivers and DirectX too as needed. If you are running a VIA motherboard ...

Just do all possible quests and talk to all possible NPCs. It will happen eventually. Oh, and kill all the Serroco. No point in leaving them alive. Scumbags anyway, and give decent XP when you wade through them.

I truly believe it is possible to do it. I dare say it would be very easy to do. The file formats are well known and I'm certain the campaigns work the same way internally, but there are some things to consider. One is that KotOR 1 was designed for Level 1 to 20 only while KotOR 2 was designed for 1 ...

On a side note, unless you're very certain of your combat abilities, be sure the first two it spawns are dead before you spawn more. 4 of them can be rather dangerous, even to the most skilled. The XP is sick, though.

One thing to consider is that there's dead, and truly dead in this game. If a character is simply dead, it means they're unconcious, not effective, but still can be healed; left without treatment they may either recover on their own or die completely. That's how the D&D-based system KotOR 2 is made ...

Best blaster is the Mandalorian Disintegrator found (usually) late in the game. Nasty weapon that. It's a disruptor that does more base damage than even the best heavy blasters (it's unstoppable, too), and is fully upgradeable. One of these, with the best upgrades, can do lightsaber-level damage. It ...

Well, that depends largely on whether you consider a net light side shift to not be gaining dark side points. In one convo with Kreia, if you don't go a certain way with a line, you'll lose influence. But depending on how you react to specific items, it will often say "Dark Side Points Gained, Light ...
