Okay well i really prefer the storyline and stuff with kotor 1 but i prefer like the way the players battle and force powers and everything in TSL so i prefer everything in TSL but i prefer the storyline for kotor 1 but i know this is alot but are there any amazing modders out there who could do a Total Conversion and change the storyline of TSLs to kotor 1 its probably possible but i dought anyone except the developers could but incase anyone else has had this idea or seen it somewhere could you please tell me thank

I truly believe it is possible to do it. I dare say it would be very easy to do. The file formats are well known and I'm certain the campaigns work the same way internally, but there are some things to consider. One is that KotOR 1 was designed for Level 1 to 20 only while KotOR 2 was designed for 1 to 50. End result is that you would only receive enough XP (unless that was majorly tweaked) to get to around 18 or so. You may, for example, be able to achieve Master Heal and Force Storm, but you may not be able to get Master Speed due to level prerequisites. Plus the fact that the baddies in KotOR 1 do not (I believe) scale up automatically with your level. I'm pretty sure the enemy levels are fixed in that game, which is why you need to do the planets in a certain order to avoid getting screwed over.
Ultimately, however, the question, is SHOULD you do it. I believe the original campaign would quickly lose its luster under the new system. There would be so many things that are just not attainable (prestige class, for example) and so many things you know are possible but cannot achieve in-campaign. KotOR 1 was great for its time, but still had many of the limitations of the old Neverwinter Nights, pre-Hordes of the Underdark. Best thing you could do is leave this one to speculation.

It doesn't strike me as a very worthwhile endaevor. Many of the KoTOR features - such as the new force powers and prestige classes - would unbalance the first game. More importantly, there are simply much better types of mods that could stand being made for the various games. Sometimes like this would be an incredible effort.
i see what you mean i didnt really think it would fit into place but i thought that maybe it was possible to like take the files from kotor 1 and put them in like kotor 2 so then you would like be able to level up to 50 that crossed my mind but i thought it was possible i dont know anything about modding my brother does though and he said it may be possible but he didnt know all that so it is kinda possible but it wouldnt be the same would it
