King Arthur: The Role-playing Wargame Reviews

There are two more reviews of NeoCoreGames' King Arthur: The Role-playing Wargame to share with you before we head into another weekend.

First up is Strategy Informer with a score of 8.0/10:
But perhaps above all, the consistency in design and reverence for the subject matter is King Arthur's greatest strength. Too often war games of this persuasion end up as dry, hardcore affairs that only the slimmest of niche audiences can appreciate. Neocore, although biting off a little more than it can chew, has provided an experience that positively oozes with atmosphere and challenge, yet all the while catering to those that spend twelve hours a day devising battlefield plans - and the other twelve reading the Art of War.

It might not be perfect, but it's certainly worth a look.

Then we move to Softpedia for a score of 8.5/10:
King Arthur The Role Playing Wargame is a very competent strategy title that manages to do justice to the Arthurian setting and offers the player a chance to fight complex tactical battles while also making strategic choices and develop their knights and armies between the fights. It can be frustrating at times, as some battles are so crucial that players cannot afford to lose them, and it can get repetitive if you try to see how all the alignments pan out but other than that, it is solid, offers interesting choices and can deliver a gamer hours upon hours of battle management. Neocore Games has done good and I am eagerly waiting to see what other titles it can conjure up.
