Your allies n Dragon Age have their own agenda, and they aren't afraid to comment on it. Some people in Venne's party disapproved of this gesture, saying it wasn't tantamount to their overarching goal. The game shows how each party member either approves of doesn't approve of each decision.
Over the course of the adventure, your party members' assessment of you will change. If they agree with what you're doing, you can get a bonus to their attacks. They will be inspired by your actions.
