Neverwinter Nights 2 Interview

GamingReport has conjured up an interview with Obsidian Entertainment's Ferret Baudoin, quizzing the lead designer about several aspects of their upcoming Neverwinter Nights sequel. Here's a bit to get you started:
Q: Beyond the code considerations, there is also the Dungeons & Dragons rule base. In NWN 2, what sort of character classes, spells, and equipment will be available? Any new cool monsters make an appearance?

A: One major change on this front is we've updated our rules to Wizard of the Coast's 3.5 edition of D&D. There are a lot of improvements to spells, feats, and class abilities which makes the game tighter and more balanced. For the first time ever a CRPG has a new base class the Warlock, who is a caster that can use his arsenal of invocations at will as opposed to a paltry few times a day like other casters. There are new spells, new items, new heck practically everything has new stuff with it. As far as monsters go, we want to make sure that our game has all the monster diversity we need and that the community has a bunch of their favorites. There are a few new and cool critters like the Bone Spider, but mostly we're making sure that the core critters are running around being menacing.
