The storyline itself is not bad. In fact, the storyline is something you will probably find attractive and interesting. Of course, if you aren't into (saving the day) and the typical fantasy story, you might want to think again about purchasing this game. In short, the story tells of two great mages, each jockeying for power. Unfortunately one of the mages, Lord Davenmor, loses and must marry off his daughter, Ellowyn. Ellowyn runs away before the marriage can take place and that's when (monstrous terrors) are let loose upon the world. As the hero you must do battle and find Ellowyn and convince her to marry. Pretty standard story, which isn't surprising considering that D.W. Bradley is the writer. He has many older Wizardry type games on his resume.
