Dungeon Lords takes place in the typical medieval fantasy realm, with the familiar fair of dark elves, orcs, snake-people, and any other monster you could find in any normal fantasy bestiary. You begin by going through the character creation process, choosing your class, your skills, and your race. You have the usual races to chose from, (human, elf, dwarf, and so on) and a few new ones to pick from, including a werebear-like creature. Classes are standard as well, including a basic fighter and mage. Skills are straightforward enough and help improve your melee and magic combat.
